A letter purporting to stipulate layoffs at each metropolis company is a faux, Metropolis Council Speaker Corey Johnson stated right this moment.
The alarming missive, which supplies an alleged breakdown of layoffs by metropolis company, seems on Metropolis Council letterhead with the purported signatures of Johnson and council members Daniel Dromm and Vanessa Gibson on the “funds negotiating group.”

The bogus letter says a $9 billion funds hole “leads us to the last word choice to terminate and furlough New York Metropolis workers for extra financial savings.”
It’s unknown who fabricated the letter, or who circulated it.
